Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination

Specialist Support Coordination for Complex NDIS Needs

Some NDIS journeys involve more complexity than standard coordination can manage, but Mora Disability is here to provide expert, hands-on support when it matters most. Serving Sydney's Northern Suburbs and the Hills District, we specialise in Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination, helping participants facing complex, high-risk, or unstable circumstances regain stability and stay in control of their plan. As a fully independent Support Coordinator, we don't deliver other NDIS services and don't employ support workers directly, so our advice is always guided by what's best for you. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, we also bridge cultural and linguistic barriers, ensuring Chinese families and other culturally and linguistically diverse communities have seamless access to the NDIS.

Who Is Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination For?

Level 3 is designed for participants facing complex, high-risk, or unstable circumstances. You may benefit from Specialist Support Coordination if you're experiencing:

  • Housing instability, unsafe accommodation, or a transition between housing settings
  • Involvement with hospitals or health services during a crisis
  • Contact with the justice system, such as leaving custody or navigating court orders
  • Significant behaviours of concern that make it difficult to access or maintain support
  • Multiple service systems that need to be coordinated at once

Eligibility is determined by the NDIA based on your individual situation, not by diagnosis alone.

Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination?

Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination is the highest level of NDIS support coordination. It's designed for participants facing complex, high-risk, or unstable situations, where specialist skill and experience are needed to stabilise your support environment and keep things moving safely.

  • How is Level 3 different from Level 2 Support Coordination?

Level 2 helps you implement and manage your plan day-to-day, connecting you with providers and building your confidence over time. Level 3 is for more complex circumstances, such as crisis situations or significant barriers to accessing support, and is typically more intensive and time-limited.

  • Who can benefit from Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination?

Participants experiencing complex, high-risk, or unstable circumstances may benefit from Level 3, including those facing:

    • Housing instability, unsafe accommodation, or a transition between housing settings
    • Involvement with hospitals or health services during a crisis
    • Contact with the justice system, such as leaving custody or navigating court orders
    • Significant behaviours of concern that make it difficult to access or maintain support
    • Multiple service systems that need to be coordinated at once
  • Why choose an independent Support Coordinator?

As a fully independent Support Coordinator, Mora Disability doesn't provide other NDIS services or employ support workers directly. This means there's no conflict of interest in the advice we give or the providers we connect you with; your funding decisions stay in your control.

  • Is Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination funded separately in my plan?

Yes, Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination is funded separately under the Capacity Building category in your NDIS plan. It does not impact the funding allocated for your other supports.

  • Can I move between Level 2 and Level 3 support if my needs change?

Yes. A plan can include both levels, and it's common for participants to move between them, for example, Level 3 to manage an immediate crisis, with Level 2 continuing to support your plan once things stabilise.

  • Do you offer support in languages other than English?

Yes. Our team is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, bridging cultural and linguistic barriers so Chinese families and other culturally and linguistically diverse communities can access the NDIS with confidence.

  • What areas do you service?

Mora Disability is based in Sydney's Northern Suburbs and Hills District, and provides Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination across all of Sydney, including surrounding areas such as Castle Hill, Carlingford, Baulkham Hills, and Kellyville.
